About Jane Isobel Art

Hi, I’m Jane Furniss – the illustrator behind Jane Isobel Art. I’m a Yorkshire-based artist with a love for colour, character, and creativity.

I’ve loved drawing since I was little and always dreamed of being an artist. I studied Art and Design at York College, then went on to do a degree in Illustration at Norwich University of the Arts.

I started my business in October 2024, after spending years not knowing what to do with my art. I’m so glad to finally be creating again – setting up my own business has felt like a fresh start, and it’s been such a joyful experience to share my work in this way.

These days, I mainly work digitally, but I also enjoy painting with watercolour, acrylics, and gouache.

Colour is at the heart of everything I create – whether I’m illustrating a landmark or capturing a memory, I aim to bring warmth and vibrancy to my work.
