About Jane Isobel Art

Hi, I’m Jane Furniss, the illustrator behind Jane Isobel Art. I’m a Yorkshire based artist with a love for colour.

I’ve loved drawing since I was little and always dreamed of being an artist. I studied Art and Design at York College, then went on to do a degree in Illustration at Norwich University of the Arts.

I created Jane Isobel Art in October 2024, after spending years not knowing what to do with my art. I’m so glad to finally be creating again.  Setting up my own business has felt like a fresh start, and it’s been such a joyful experience to share my work in this way.

These days, I mainly work digitally and with gouache.

Colour is at the heart of everything I create  whether I’m illustrating a landmark, train or capturing a memory, I aim to bring warmth and vibrancy to my work.
